Item # Pennisetum Alop Hameln

Hameln is a dwarf variety reaching only 1.5 to 2.5 feet in height and equally as wide.  Hameln is more compact and is used as a border or planted in mass.
Fountain Grass is easy to grow and handles most soil types.  Fountain Grass features narrow, medium green leaves in summer turning golden yellow in fall then fading to beige in winter.  The winter foliage is attractive and it is best to wait to cut back just before spring.  The pinkish flower spikes appear to be like water spraying from a fountain.
