Item # Phlox David

Phlox David is a classic garden phlox with large pure white dense bloom clusters in the summer on top of stiff upright stems reaching 3 to 4 feet in height.  David is great for native meadows, is deer resistant, and makes a great cut flower.                                                                                                The name phlox is derived from the Greek word for flame, as the Garden Phlox provides sparkle to the perennial garden. Garden Phlox, a native plant, is generally 3- to 4-feet in height and has large, colorful fragrant blooms. It is a staple of the perennial border. Garden Phlox is resistant to deer and attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. Unlike most perennials, the Garden Phlox can even be planted near Black Walnut trees. It can be difficult to grow but this particular variety is one of the easiest.
