Item # Astilbe Snow Drift
Astilbes are easy to grow, clumping perennials that are a good solution for many applications. Deer don’t seem to bother them and they can even be planted under a Black Walnut tree, which is toxic to most plants. They should be planted in mass as a groundcover or in a rain garden. Even after the flowers are spent, the stalks provide ornamental interest into the late fall and winter. Snow Drift’s medium green leaves of 18-inches in height produce 24-inch feather-like panicles of pure white flowers in the summer.
