Item # Lagerstroemia Dynamite

Crape Myrtles are good solutions for landscape and gardening needs. Used as a small tree, it is fast growing and will bloom in the first year.

Crape Myrtle Dynamite reaches 10 to 20 feet in height. It features papery 10 to 14 inch panicles of cherry red flowers from summer to fall. The leaves emerge red in spring and mature to dark green in summer, finally turning red and orange in fall.

Crapes are primarily planted for long lasting blooms but offer interesting fall leaf color and peeling cinnamon bark. There are several varieties that are hardy in Zone 6, but many thrive in Zone 5 as perennials, dying back to the ground in winter and emerging again in spring.
